Privacy notice

Effective 4 August 2026

Football 501 has no player accounts or advertising trackers. Most game information stays on your device, and limited anonymous website statistics help us improve the service.

1. Who controls your information

2. Information we handle

We do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe and Link process payment details under their own privacy terms.

3. Why we use it

4. Providers

We use Stripe and Link for Managed Payments; Cloudflare for website hosting, security, licence storage and privacy-first Web Analytics; and Resend to deliver activation and purchase-recovery emails. The website currently requests font files from Google Fonts. These providers may process limited personal or technical information on our behalf or as independent controllers, and may process it outside the UK using appropriate safeguards.

5. Storage on your device

The app uses browser local storage and offline caching for essential functions such as installation, saved games, preferences, activation and device identification. These are not advertising cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not place cookies or use local storage to identify visitors. You can remove local app information through your browser’s site-data controls, but doing so may remove saved games or require reactivation.

6. Retention

We retain purchase and licence records while access remains active and for up to six years afterwards where needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention or legal claims. Support correspondence is normally retained for up to two years. We can delete or anonymise information earlier where it is no longer needed and no legal obligation requires retention.

7. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or transfer of your personal information. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. Email us to exercise a right. We may need to verify your identity.

8. Children

Purchases are intended to be made by adults. Children can take part in local gameplay with appropriate supervision, but Football 501 does not knowingly create child accounts or collect children’s personal information.

9. Changes

We will update this notice when our data handling changes. The effective date above shows the latest version.
